Are we a simulation inside a more advanced civilization’s computer game? How would you hope to ever find that out? And if you did, what could you possibly do with that information.
You would be a character simulated by a computer to have these human characteristics. You would probably be controlled by a player of some kind to live this life and do at least some predetermined things, but most of your actions would be determined and controlled by the player.
Why a simulation inside a computer game? Why not an organic artificial intelligence machine in a universe created by some advanced civilization? Why not life in a universe all created by a God? I’m not saying any of these are wrong or correct. I’m just saying look closely and carefully at what you choose to believe. Sometimes we are so set against a belief system that the alternative some of us jump into is even more bizarre.
Life is about living. Computer simulation or God’s creation, it doesn’t matter. Live life, have a good time, be happy, make others happy.
Anyway, try to imagine what such a computer would look like? What 
would it consist of? Is a computer the best device we can come up with for this theory? Is this simulation scenario not just a bit too tightly linked to advances in Virtual Reality gadgets, which is possible now only because our computers are now fast enough to handle the scenarios and we are so astounded by it that we create these theories which will have to change tomorrow when computers change?
